01Gum Rosin
Gum rosin is the solid resin that remains after turpentine is steam-distilled from oleoresin, the crude gum tapped from living pine trees. In Indonesia it comes mainly from Pinus merkusii. Rosin is graded by colour, and WW (Water White) is one of the paler grades.
Manufacturers use gum rosin in adhesives, printing inks, paints and coatings, rubber, and paper sizing. The acid value and softening point for your lot are stated on the COA.
